Donkey Experience Gift Certificate - Individual

Plan a unique and memorable outing for your family or friends interacting with our miniature donkeys.  Foster Hill Farm, located in Stafford, CT is a breeder of Mediterranean Miniature Donkeys.  On any day you will find at least 30 adorable donkeys of all ages at the farm.  Our volunteers have said that their time at the farm is 'Donkey Therapy'.  We decided to open our farm up so that others will have the chance to experience these sweet creatures. 

The Donkey Experience program begins with a short talk about the history of miniature donkeys.  Each person is assigned their own donkey.  Participants are taught how to safely halter, tie, lead and groom the donkeys.  Everyone works at their own comfort level.  Try as many of these tasks as you would like.  After the donkeys are groomed we take them on a short hike around the farm or on our trails, depending on what the group prefers.  We can accommodate special needs if anyone in the group is not able to go on the hike.  After the hike everyone is invited to spend some time with our foals who always welcome the company:-)  There are several FHF staff/volunteers assisting during the event.  

The groups are limited in size keeping safety in mind.  Participants must be at least 18 years old.  Please wear sneakers or boots.  Facilities and wash station are on site.   The Donkey Experience Gift Certificate - Individual is for one person to participate ($50) for 1 1/2 hours.  Individual participants are scheduled with others to make small groups (6-8).  Scheduling begins in the spring for sessions in June.  We only host the Donkey Experience in June.  Morning, evening and weekend session will be available.  We will contact you (or the gift certificate recipient) in the spring to schedule the Donkey Experience.  We also offer a Private Donkey Experience for up to 6 people ($250).  Please look for Private Group Donkey Experience on our Events Page.  Once you purchase your ticket(s) we will send you a gift certificate and donkey ornament with gift bag.  A portion of the proceeds of each ticket is donated to donkey rescues.  Please contact Kim at 860.729.6310 with any questions.
