Garden Shop -closed for 2019, re-opens May 2020.
After a number of years away from the retail garden business and growing plants Karl Milikowski and his wife, Kim, have opened a garden shop at their farm in Stafford. Karl worked for years in his family's garden center, Chestnut Hill Farm in Stafford, which was started in 1972 by Karl’s parents Bill and Jeanne Milikowski.
After the passing of Karl’s parents, Chestnut Hill Farm was sold. Karl stayed in the industry working at several garden centers over the past years always looking for just the right opportunity and place to open another garden center. In 2009 Karl and Kim purchased their property on Stafford Street and built their farm. With no other garden shop in the area the time seemed right to open Foster Hill Farm and Garden in 2016. Karl and Kim are very happy to be able to carry on the family tradition and provide the Stafford community and surrounding towns with a local garden shop.
Foster Hill Farm and Garden offers a large and unique selection of hanging baskets, patio pots, vegetables, annuals and herbs. In keeping with the antique character of the property you will find over 100 varieties of heirloom tomato and specialty pepper plants in the spring. Come try a variety in your garden this year like Persimmon or Abe Lincoln Original that were most likely grown in this area over 200 years ago.
The garden shop will be open for the spring of 2019 on 5/4/19 through June and will reopen for the fall season. Open from 9 to 6 daily.
