About the event
We are pleased to host a free program about diseases and treatment for tomatoes and peppers with Dr. Yonghao Li. Dr. Li is a Plant Pathologist with the Dept. of Plant Pathology & Ecology at The Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station. Learn how to identify, prevent and treat common bacterial and fungal issues on tomato and pepper plants. Home gardeners and professionals are welcome to attend. The event is free but please register.
Dr. Li has expertise in cellular responses in host-pathogen interactions, resistance mechanisms and epidemiology of fungal, bacterial and virus diseases. He also has experience in disease diagnostics and pathogen identification using traditional and molecular techniques. The Plant Disease Information Office (PDIO) is part of the Department of Plant Pathology and Ecology at The Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station (CAES). The PDIO is a full-service plant disease diagnostic laboratory that assists all Connecticut stakeholders, including homeowners and professionals. Facilities and handwash station on site.
